Concrete filled steel tube (CFST) is the most efficient load-bearing structure

Concrete filled steel tubes allow electing not to use load-bearing walls and create a sense of lightness inside buildings due to the open planning and plenty of light.

This concept of versatile structure provides infinite freedom in using the building and encapsulates functional architecture with a single interior space that opens up limitless possibilities for interior changes.

You can change the furnishings and interior space as you wish at any time. This versatility allows you not to spend money on upgrading facilities, makes them ageless, and makes it possible to use them for many generations.

Technological solutions for hybrid structures

Capabilities of hybrid building frame
A hybrid building frame combines various materials and process engineering solutions that enhance their advantages when interacting with each other.
For example, steel or composite concrete columns perform together:
  • with a classic reinforced concrete floor,
  • with a composite concrete floor with void formers,
  • with a post-tensioned concrete reinforced concrete floor,
  • with pre-tensioned precast reinforced concrete slabs,
  • with FILIGRAN slabs,
  • with CLT slabs, or combinations thereof.
Among composite concrete columns, a special place is taken by concrete filled steel tubes - a complex structure consisting of a steel shell (steel pipe) filled with high-strength concrete.

Prefabricated high-load-bearing concrete filled steel tube
A concrete filled steel tube is an external steel shell that is made of a high-strength steel metal pipe, has a welded frame made of high-strength reinforcement, is filled with high-strength self-compacting concrete, and equipped with support brackets in the form of flanges.

By connecting concrete filled steel tubes to each other using bolted connections through support flanges, the installation of tubes is accelerated and the bracing of tubes with monolithic floors is reinforced.

Moreover, steel tubes can be made two, three or even four stories high.

Monolithic slab support unit for creating flat ceilings
We have created an efficient and simple joint without capitals for the support zone of a monolithic beamless slab with a concrete filled steel tube that can withstand high loads.

Since our tube to floor slab connections are located inside monolithic floor slabs, they are reliably insulated, thus improving the frame’s fire resistance and improving the aesthetics and ergonomics of the building's interior spaces, increasing their usable area.

The 100+ AWARDS expert council that consists of leading Russian and foreign construction experts praised this technology and awarded to us first place in the Best Innovative Development category: technology - “Concrete filled steel tube support and bar system of the high-rise building frame”.
